Podley vs. Tidio
What Tidio actually costs a POD seller.
The cheap live-chat-plus-AI tool POD sellers add for on-site chat.
Figures below are from Tidio's public pricing page, as of July 2026. Check the current numbers yourself.
What Tidio charges
Base plan
$24-29/mo for the Starter plan (100 conversations included, price depends on monthly vs. annual billing)
AI / automated-resolution fee
Lyro AI conversations beyond the plan allotment are sold in blocks - $32.50 for 50 conversations, which works out to roughly $0.50-$0.78 each depending on which block you buy
What Tidio does well
Credit where it's due - this isn't a tool without a reason to exist.
- Cheap entry point and a genuinely easy live-chat widget install
- Solid if what you actually want is on-site chat plus light email handling
- Lyro AI answers simple FAQ-style questions reasonably well
Where it falls short for POD
Tidio is a chat-and-FAQ tool wearing a helpdesk hat. It has no idea what Printify's fulfillment API says about your order, so a WISMO answer from Lyro is a guess dressed up as a chat bubble, not a checked fact.
A worked month
Assumption you can change: a 300-ticket month where about half (150) get an AI-drafted resolution and the rest need a human touch - a typical mix for a small POD store. Change the split and the totals below move with it; the shape of the comparison does not.
What Podley is, and isn't
Podley only does one thing: print-on-demand customer service, from your Gmail, checking the live order in Shopify and Printify before it drafts a word, in your own voice - and it never touches money without your say. It doesn't run a live chat widget, Instagram DMs, or phone support. If you need a full multi-channel helpdesk for a support team, one of the tools above is probably the right call.

Connect Gmail and Shopify in about two minutes. From then on Podley reads every new customer email, pulls up the real order from Shopify and Printify, and writes the reply in your voice. Nothing sends until you approve it.
